Budget Friendly Autumn Trends To Wear Now

It's with great relief that I'm finally able to blog about budget friendly Autumn trends to wear now! After what felt like the longest, most humid + oppressive Summer in Sydney, the weather Gods have finally brought a chill in the air plus brilliant blue Autumn days. Although I've never been a fan of following trends for the sake of it, it IS important to inject a few (well chosen) pieces into your wardrobe every season, to keep you looking up to date and modern.

But you certainly don't need to spend a lot, and in this post I'll be focusing on new season pieces that will work with some of the pieces you already have, for an instant, quick Autumn fashion refresh!! :)

The colour of wine

This season it's all about the deep, broody shade of a dark red wine. Also commonly called berry / mulberry or burgundy, whatever you call it - it's everywhere! Try it in a blouse or top, OR if this isn't your best colour, just inject a little of this season's colour in a little handbag or shoes (so the colour isn't near your face).

The turtleneck

Yes, the turtleneck is back.... but this time you want it in a soft, oversized knit. If you don't want the knit to swamp you then choose a nice thin knit, otherwise you can also opt for a chunky version if you can pull it off.

Go sleeveless for those in-between days or if you live somewhere where it doesn't get too cold :)

Minimalist 70s

Pick up the phone to call Charlie as the Angels are BACK. Flares, billowy sleeves, sheer florals and long maxi dresses are all in this season. This is DEFINITELY one of those trends that will be fleeting, in and out before you know it.

So pick up no more than a couple of pieces (I wouldn't spend more than $100 per item MAX) to rock this look and enjoy channeling your inner Farrah Fawcett.

Whichever trend you choose, the art of a stylish wardrobe is making well-chosen choices that work in your wardrobe to add a new freshness for the season.

My final top tips - have a budget in mind, don't overspend and know what couple of items you're looking for to keep you looking fabulously stylish this Autumn.

Until next time, stay stylish & successful!
