THE Must Have Piece This Spring
Written by Wendy Mak
If there's one thing you'll want this Spring is this fabulous white blazer from Basque.
A blazer like this instantly transforms any outfit from blah to POW. And you'll see below that you can wear it in a number of different and creative ways so that you get maximum value from your fashion dollar.
Yes it's white, so you'll need to be extra careful when swilling your Bloody Mary about in your hand. And yes I'll grant you that your dry cleaning bill may increase - but then, when has fashion ever been practical? (Just look at your most painful pair of high heels and you'll know what I mean!!!)
That said, you just can't go past white for a fresh, modern take on the traditional blazer. It won't date and you won't get bored of it as you might with a statement colour, and is as classic a staple as a black blazer.
Here are three super different ways to wear your blazer.
1. Work it for work
Create a little buzz in the office and expect Tracy at reception to ask where you're going tonight when you rock up in this blazer thrown over a dress. (As a side note, I am in LOVE with this black & white dress it's made from a firm, stretchy fabric that sucks in all lumps and bumps and the vertical white piping creates a longer, leaner look.)

2. Did someone say boring?
This before and after shot of a simple plain tank and jeans, illustrates just how much of a change this white blazer makes to the most boring of looks.
Instead of plain old tank and jeans, the blazer makes this look cooler and sophisticated. All you need is a statement piece of jewellery and away you go!

3. It's all about the shorts
Shorts never looked so good dressed up in white. Throw on a coloured tank and match it with a printed scarf and tote for a cool as a cucumber look as the weather heats up.

No matter how you wear it, whether you are a size 8 or size 16, this blazer suits just about everyone.
