2016: A Year in Review
With 2017 literally peeking around the corner, it's time to take a look back and show gratitude for everything that has happened this year. It's been a huge year for me personally, with lots to keep me busy at home and at work.
While it's been fun launching new initiatives, blogging and writing - the philosophy has always stayed the same - to bring wardrobe happiness to women everywhere!
As we wrap up the year that was at WendyMak.com, here's a look at some of the key moments:
Personal Brand Workshops
2016 was another great year working with the University of Technology Sydney, and also Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand, speaking to students on how to curate your personal brand to deliver an exceptional image and first impression.
With a long background in corporate work, personal brand has become a real passion as I aim to keep wild amounts of cleavage, VPLs and other inappropriate outfits out of offices and Boardrooms!! :)

Launching the Fashion & Style Business Academy
Together with Rachel Worden from Ruby Slippers Styling, I launched a series of new training courses for aspiring and budding fashion stylists.
While this training is something I've done for years, it was time this year to bring in a new perspective and trainer in Rachel, and create the Academy so that together we are able to offer our collective experience and insights to new stylists everywhere!

The launch of the Not About Size online style course
Another collaboration with Rachel Worden from Ruby Slippers Styling, this 6-part online e-course has been a labour of love for myself and Rachel. Together, we've poured our heart + souls in to creating the Not About Size style course to teach women everywhere how to style themselves for life - no matter what your size.
It's been amazing fun to watch and mentor all our members as they develop their personal style, curate their wardrobes and enjoy fashion and shopping again.

Being welcomed back to your screens
After a hiatus from TV appearances, I was warmly welcomed back to your television boxes in Australia, thanks to several segments on Channel 9. Your support has been amazing and it's been a great platform to share my styling tips.
The Capsule Wardrobe
While technically not available in stores until January 2017, I have spent all of 2016 preparing for the launch of my book The Capsule Wardrobe. Based on my self-published book, it's been an eye-opening and very humbling experience working with publishers and book stores to try and get this project off the ground.
With the launch now just around the corner, it's time to get excited!!! :)
So thanks for the memories 2016 and cheers to an awesome 2017!!!
With wardrobe happiness,
